About the role
The Support Services Manager provides integrated leadership and coordination of programme support functions, ensuring efficient delivery of HR, finance, procurement, ICT, administration and compliance services in challenging environments.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise teams across finance, HR, procurement, HSSE, ICT and administration to achieve results in line with UNOPS rules and standards.
- Ensure continuous improvement of client service and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Provide technical input on innovative financing approaches, risk assessment and mitigation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify needs, determine costs and plan support services.
- Assist the Programme Head in setting goals, targets and performance standards, and support monitoring, evaluation and auditing tools.
- Represent UNOPS in forum discussions, integrating DEI, GESI and PSEAH commitments into programme strategies.
- Foster a respectful workplace culture and uphold zero‑tolerance policies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in leading multi‑disciplinary support functions (HR, finance, procurement, ICT, administration).
- Strong knowledge of UNOPS rules, regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to operate in complex, high‑risk operational environments.
- Excellent advisory and technical support skills for programme teams.
