Senior Accountant – Juba (Expatriate)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Juba, South Sudan. The role provides accurate and timely financial data to senior management, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company policies while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cost and budget accounting functions and prepare project cost analyses, revenue projections, and expenditure forecasts.
• Manage cash flow, debt servicing, and tax compliance in line with local regulations and company procedures.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including audit coordination and reconciliation of bank and general ledger accounts.
• Post transactions in the ERP system, prepare financial reports, and assist with internal control and risk management planning.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and perform other delegated accounting duties.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting & Finance or CPA, with at least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in senior management.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong initiative, motivation, and ability to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial management techniques.
