Senior Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the implementation of our strategic initiatives and ensure operational excellence across our programmes. The role will support the roll‑out of the Office Strategy, align business processes with strategic priorities, and oversee major projects in a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and execution of the Office Strategy and Country Strategy Implementation Plan.
• Lead the rollout of the fragile‑context programme approach and monitor alignment with global guidance and donor requirements.
• Provide strategic and operational oversight of bilateral and multilateral projects, ensuring they start and finish on time, within scope and budget.
• Coordinate cross‑departmental teams (DM, M&E, Technical Advisors) to promote information sharing and joint planning.
• Drive digitisation of project management tools, update flowcharts and RACI matrices, and ensure start‑up workshops are conducted for new projects.
• Maintain communication with donors, partners and field teams, ensuring timely high‑quality reporting and monitoring of grant implementation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in operations or project management within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven ability to align operational processes with strategic objectives and donor requirements.
• Strong coordination skills across multiple functional areas and experience managing large‑scale programmes.
