About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Associate – Livelihoods to support its “catalyzing durable solution” project in Rubkona and Yei River County, South Sudan. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Programme Coordinator, the Associate will help implement livelihood‑focused activities that promote durable solutions, social cohesion and early recovery for returnees, IDPs and host communities.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation of project activities related to livelihoods, durable solutions and social cohesion.
- Support coordination with the Programme Coordinator – Livelihoods, the National Project Officer – Livelihoods and the Head of Office.
- Maintain relationships with displaced‑affected communities, including returnees, internally displaced persons and host populations.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on project progress in line with IOM’s humanitarian and development frameworks.
Required profile
- Applicants may be internal or external candidates; internal‑equivalent candidates are considered first‑tier.
- Demonstrated interest in humanitarian, migration and livelihood programmes.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under the supervision of senior IOM staff.
