MEAL Lead for Education Programme in South Sudan

About the role

The MEAL Lead will support the Education for All South Sudan (EFASS) programme delivered by the International Rescue Committee. This four‑year, £27 million initiative aims to improve access, retention and progression for the most marginalised out‑of‑school children, especially girls and children with disabilities, while strengthening inclusive and climate‑adaptive education approaches.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of multi‑sectoral programming across seven states and two administrative areas in South Sudan.
• Contribute to improving foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes for out‑of‑school children.
• Help strengthen inclusive and climate‑adaptive education approaches for teachers and facilitators.
• Assist in improving education data and evidence for decision‑making through national learning outcomes and quality assessments.
• Collaborate with partners and IRC staff to ensure programme objectives are met.
