Partnerships Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) South Sudan is looking for a Partnerships Coordinator to lead partnership management with local and national organisations. Reporting to the Senior Grants and Partnerships Coordinator in Juba, the post ensures partnerships are principled, compliant and capacity-building, and are built into project cycle management and business development. The post leads and develops the partnerships team and works closely with grants, compliance, Programmes, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations, supporting the localisation of the South Sudan response.

Key responsibilities

• Build understanding of grassroots and community-led emergency response, maintain a map of local responders and engage with organisations that share similar objectives
• Run an inter-sectoral steering committee for local initiatives and embed partnerships in the Strategic Action Plan and sector strategies
• Lead delivery of partnership targets: raising the local partner share of the country programme budget to 15% and reaching ten strategic partnerships, five with women-led or women-focused organisations, by 2028
• Manage all partnerships and PEERS processes, keeping a complete PEERS record for every active partnership and coordinating programme, grants, operations and finance inputs
• Ensure sub-awards are opened, modified and closed out on time with all required approvals, and that partnership reporting to country, regional and headquarters teams is timely and accurate
• Support partner project plans, set capacity strengthening priorities and coordinate organisational development support
• Integrate capacity sharing into programmes and promote learning between IRC staff and partners
• Ensure partnership risk, compliance and safeguarding are managed properly
