Senior Accountant – Juba (Expatriate Position)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Juba, South Sudan. The role provides management with accurate and timely financial data, ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cost and budget accounting functions and prepare project cost analyses.
• Develop revenue projections, expenditure forecasts and strategic budgeting.
• Manage cash flow, debt servicing and proactive tax planning.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including audit coordination.
• Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts and post transactions in ERP accounting software.
• Prepare financial reports, maintain internal controls and supervise junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• First degree in Accounting & Finance or CPA, with at least 10 years of experience (including 5 years in senior management) or a postgraduate qualification with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Strong initiative, motivation and ability to work under pressure in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial management techniques.
