Expedited Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a reliable Expedited Driver to operate official vehicles, support daily logistics, and ensure safe transport of staff, documents, and parcels. The role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and works closely with the Supply Chain Associate.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM office vehicle(s) for official business.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, engine oil, fan belt) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate records of spare parts and conduct monthly inventory.
• Plan the most direct and safe routes using available roads.
• Prepare daily log sheets and a monthly report summarising mileage, fuel consumption and other statistics.
• Maintain confidentiality and take actions to reduce security threats to officials and property.
• Meet officials at airports and assist with immigration and customs formalities.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents, pouches and other items to and from the office, post office, airports, government agencies and UN partners.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Experience driving official or fleet vehicles.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and record‑keeping.
• High degree of confidentiality and discretion.
• Awareness of security considerations while transporting personnel and assets.

Required skills

• Vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Inventory management for spare parts.
• Accurate log‑book and report preparation.
