Expedited Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Expedited Driver to operate its office vehicle(s) safely and efficiently. Working under the Head of Supply Chain and the Supply Chain Associate, the driver will support daily logistics, ensure vehicle readiness, and assist officials with transport and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM vehicle(s) for official business and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, belts) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and schedule regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate records of spare parts, mileage, fuel consumption, and prepare monthly reports.
• Plan the most direct and safe routes, considering road conditions and security risks.
• Meet officials at airports, facilitate immigration and customs procedures, and handle the collection and delivery of mail, documents, and parcels.
• Maintain confidentiality and take actions to reduce security threats during transport.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class.
• Experience driving in an office or institutional environment.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep detailed logs.
• Strong sense of confidentiality, discretion, and security awareness.
• Good communication skills for interacting with officials and staff.
