Project Officer – Humanitarian Hub Operations

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to manage the daily operations of its Humanitarian Hub in Malakal, South Sudan. The role supports the co‑location of 39 humanitarian agencies by ensuring accommodation, facility management and operational services are delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day activities of the Malakal Humanitarian Hub.
• Oversee accommodation provision and facility maintenance for partner agencies.
• Manage operational support services, including logistics and security arrangements.
• Liaise with IOM internal units, partner agencies and external service providers to maintain service quality.
• Monitor safety and security standards within the hub.
• Support the logistical needs of the 39 agencies operating from the hub.

Required profile

• Experience working in humanitarian or migration contexts.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a fast‑moving environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Malakal, South Sudan.
