Expedited Driver

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Expedited Driver to operate official vehicles, ensure their roadworthiness, and support the safe transport of staff, documents and parcels. The role reports to the Head of Supply Chain and works closely with the Head of Drivers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive assigned IOM vehicle(s) for official business, following the most direct and safe routes.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (tires, brakes, oil, belts) and arrange minor repairs.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and schedule regular service intervals.
• Keep accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption and monthly reports.
• Manage spare‑part inventory and conduct monthly stock counts.
• Assist officials at airports, handling immigration and customs formalities as needed.
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and parcels to and from the office, post office, government agencies and partner organisations.
• Observe confidentiality and take actions to mitigate security risks during transport.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions from supervisors.
• High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality.
• Physical fitness to handle vehicle‑related tasks.

• Vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
• Route planning and navigation.
• Accurate record keeping and reporting.
