About the role
The Child Protection Case Worker will support vulnerable children in Abyei by identifying, documenting and responding to protection cases. Working under the supervision of the Child Protection Officer, the role ensures children receive basic services and appropriate care.
Key responsibilities
- Identify children with protection concerns using national case management forms.
- Document case details and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor each case, conduct follow‑ups and facilitate alternative care arrangements.
- Coordinate with field programmes to ensure timely access to services.
- Report case progress to the Child Protection Officer.
Required profile
- Willingness to work directly with children and young people.
- Ability to operate in a complex, humanitarian environment.
- Commitment to Save the Children’s safeguarding standards (Level 3).
- Motivated, dedicated and able to work independently.
