About the role
The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Roving Child Protection Officer to lead and supervise child protection activities in Jonglei, South Sudan. The role will oversee case workers, community volunteers, and partner implementation across Akobo and Ayod, ensuring high‑quality services for vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and support child protection case workers and community volunteers.
- Monitor and evaluate partner‑delivered child protection programmes in the assigned locations.
- Conduct client‑responsiveness assessments and ensure timely reporting.
- Map services and strengthen referral pathways for complex cases.
- Collaborate closely with the Roving Child Protection Manager to align activities with strategic objectives.
Required profile
- Experience in child protection, humanitarian programming, or related fields.
- Proven ability to supervise teams and coordinate with multiple partners.
- Strong monitoring, evaluation, and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
