Teaching Positions in South Sudan for Ugandan Teachers 2027

About the role

Ascendra is partnering with a new school in South Sudan to recruit 35 qualified Ugandan teachers for the 2027 academic year across Nursery, Primary and Secondary levels, including a Headteacher position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver structured, engaging lessons appropriate to learners' levels and subjects.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Assess learners' progress through assignments, tests and examinations.
• Maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment and accurate records.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to improve outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Ugandan teacher with relevant professional training for the applied position.
• Strong communication, classroom management and lesson‑planning skills.
• Willingness to relocate to South Sudan and report for duty in January 2027.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific knowledge for the teaching area (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Early Childhood Education).

What we offer

• Monthly salary USD 250–320 depending on position.
• 11 months paid salary, accommodation, meals, transport from Uganda and travel documentation provided.
