Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Advisor

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Advisor to support its South Sudan operations. Reporting to the Country Director, the Advisor will lead the implementation of the Executive Director’s PSEA Circular and develop a country‑specific PSEA Action Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive PSEA risk assessments for WFP activities and integrate mitigation measures into programme planning.
• Develop, update and implement a PSEA Strategy, Action Plan and Standard Operating Procedure for responding to SEA allegations.
• Provide strategic advice to senior management and coordinate with the Deputy Country Director on PSEA obligations.
• Design and deliver capacity‑building programmes for staff and partners, and produce technical guidance and tools.
• Represent WFP in the Inter‑Agency PSEA Taskforce and ensure alignment of WFP’s response with inter‑agency standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in protection, gender or humanitarian response, preferably in high‑risk contexts.
• Proven ability to lead PSEA risk management, prevention and response activities.
• Strong coordination skills with senior officials, partners and inter‑agency bodies.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PSEA policies, standards and best practices.
• Experience developing action plans, SOPs and training materials.
