Part‑Time Radiographer

About the role

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is seeking a qualified Radiographer to join its medical facility in South Sudan on a part‑time, indefinite basis. The role involves performing diagnostic X‑ray examinations to support physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases while ensuring patient safety and high‑quality imaging.

Key responsibilities

• Capture radiographic images of bones, soft tissues and organs according to physicians' written orders.
• Verify patient identity and review orders before each examination.
• Set appropriate radiation levels, calibrate equipment and apply protective lead shielding to minimise exposure.
• Position patients accurately and adjust imaging equipment to obtain optimal views.
• Communicate abnormal findings promptly to physicians and deliver reports within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain radiology supplies, clean and service X‑ray equipment, and report any malfunctions.
• Keep accurate records of procedures, ensure compliance with infection‑prevention, waste‑management and health‑and‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified radiographer with proven experience operating X‑ray equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess image quality.
• Good communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection‑control standards.
