Supply Chain Manager – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and logistics functions within its South Sudan country office. The role supports programme delivery in challenging environments by ensuring compliant, efficient, and cost‑effective supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and analyse procurement plans for programmatic and support needs in collaboration with DRC‑DDG Programs.
• Support programme staff with supply planning, forecasting and quarterly monitoring of procurement implementation.
• Develop and manage framework agreements for routine supplies and maintain an up‑to‑date vendor database for local purchases.
• Provide remote support for Invitation to Bid (ITB) processes, including technical analysis, contract award and documentation review.
• Organise trainings for non‑logistics staff and refresher sessions for procurement personnel.
• Review order requests, quotations, bids and purchase orders to ensure compliance with DRC procedures before approval.
• Maintain accurate filing systems and produce weekly procurement tracking sheets for audit purposes.
• Implement audit recommendations, compile monthly procurement reports and communicate progress to the Head of Supply Services.
• Ensure efficient use of resources to keep costs low while maintaining quality standards.
