RMEAL Manager – PlayMatters Project

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (RMEAL) Manager to lead the RMEAL functions for the PlayMatters 3.0 initiative in South Sudan. The role supports the consortium’s effort to strengthen education systems and expand inclusive, play‑based learning for children affected by crisis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee RMEAL plans aligned with PlayMatters objectives and IRC policies.
• Coordinate data collection, analysis, and performance reporting across project sites.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, including the LEGO Foundation, and maintain high standards of accountability.
• Facilitate learning activities, knowledge sharing, and documentation of best practices.
• Support field teams in integrating RMEAL processes into daily operations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in research, monitoring, evaluation, or learning within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Proven ability to manage complex data systems and produce high‑quality reports.
• Strong understanding of education programming and play‑based learning approaches.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Experience with RMEAL frameworks and methodologies.
• Ability to develop monitoring tools, surveys, and data collection instruments.
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques.
