Project Coordinator – Women Economic Empowerment

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) strategy for World Vision’s GREAW project in Juba and Tonj North, South Sudan. This role combines strategic planning, field implementation, data analysis, and partnership management to ensure that women’s economic activities are supported while adhering to a ‘do no harm’ approach.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operationalise the WEE strategy and work plan based on assessment findings.
• Serve as the focal point for WEE implementation across project sites.
• Conduct market and gender assessments, and produce actionable recommendations.
• Collect, analyse, and report quantitative and qualitative data on WEE outcomes.
• Manage partnerships with private sector, government, and women‑led organisations.
• Draft quarterly, semi‑annual and annual reports for the project manager.
• Advocate with local leaders on resource allocation, policy formulation and collaboration.
• Integrate life‑skills, child protection and education considerations into project activities.
• Design and execute a monitoring plan, reviewing data monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Provide guidance to the monitoring team and recommend adaptive management actions.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings with local government bodies and schools.
• Support field staff in delivering WEE interventions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project coordination, monitoring & evaluation and partnership management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of gender‑disaggregated data and women’s economic empowerment principles.
• Ability to work effectively with government officials, private sector partners and community organisations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
