Supply Chain Officer (Professional)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to support its Country Office operations. Reporting to the Head of Resources Management and working closely with the Head of Supply Chain, the role will ensure the delivery of quality goods and services to beneficiaries in a timely and cost‑effective manner.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning for supply‑chain activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market research to inform procurement decisions.
• Manage procurement processes to obtain goods and services at optimal price and quality.
• Coordinate with the Regional Office in Nairobi and the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters to align operations.
• Monitor supply‑chain performance and report on key indicators.

Required profile

• Experience in supply‑chain or logistics functions within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work with diverse partners, including government, NGOs and UN agencies.
• Strong analytical skills for capacity assessment and market analysis.
• Familiarity with supply‑chain management objectives and best practices.
