Senior Finance Lead

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Senior Finance Lead to join the senior management team for a new FCDO‑funded programme in South Sudan. The role will ensure robust financial management and support the delivery of life‑saving, multi‑sector humanitarian assistance in a highly constrained environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial management and operations for the programme.
• Develop, document, and implement finance policies, systems, and procedures.
• Provide leadership to establish appropriate financial infrastructure.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader on strategic and operational planning.
• Monitor programme delivery against financial plans through comprehensive analytical reviews.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with experience in humanitarian or development programmes.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams and manage complex budgets.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to develop finance policies and systems.
