Resources Management Officer (RMO) – Mobility

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Resources Management Officer (RMO) to oversee the financial, human‑resources and administrative functions of its Country Office and any Sub‑Offices. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with the Senior Regional Resources Management Officer, the RMO will ensure sound budgetary control, treasury management and compliance with donor agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee financial management of all Country Office activities, including expenditure and accountability.
• Conduct financial analysis of programmes and projects in coordination with the Chief of Mission and SRRMO.
• Manage treasury functions, forecast cash flows and control fund disbursements in line with donor agreements.
• Prepare programme and budget reports according to IOM regulations and review monthly accounts.
• Analyse variances between budgeted and actual expenditures, taking proactive measures to avoid deficits.
• Assist the Chief of Mission and Project Managers in preparing budgets for new projects and programmes.
• Provide technical support to project managers throughout the project cycle to ensure compliance with IOM and permanent instructions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting and treasury functions within an international or UN‑based environment.
• Familiarity with donor‑fund compliance, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Ability to prepare and review programme and budget reports in accordance with organisational regulations.
• Strong coordination skills to work with senior mission leadership and regional resources management officers.
