National Finance Manager

About the role

This is a fixed-term international assignment for a National Finance Manager, paid via GCLA. The role covers financial planning, budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, risk management, cash flow and disbursements, and fixed asset oversight for the National Office of an organization supporting vulnerable children in nearly 100 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate annual departmental budgeting and financial planning, monitor budget performance against actuals, and strengthen cost efficiency and recovery in line with donor requirements.
• Produce accurate monthly financial reports and oversee monthly reconciliations (bank, budget-to-actuals, donor funding, general ledger, MyPBAS-to-FFR, vendor accounts).
• Manage reimbursable donor accounts, partner balances and balance sheet accounts, including aging analysis and clean-up of records.
• Enforce financial controls, blocked party screening, levels of authority and audit requirements, and lead the department's financial risk register and ERM work.
• Ensure compliance with statutory filings such as tax, payroll, rental tax, NSIF and gratuity returns, and the Labor Distribution Report.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts, liquidity plans and funding requests, and oversee supplier and staff payments, petty cash and bank deposits.
• Oversee fixed assets, including the Fixed Asset Register, physical verification and donor-funded assets.
