Programme Officer – Budget & Grant Management (Temporary, 11 months)

About the role

The Programme Officer, Budget and Grant Management will support UNICEF’s implementation of the Global Fund Malaria Grant Cycle 7 in South Sudan. Working from Juba, the officer will ensure effective financial planning, compliance and reporting for malaria interventions aligned with the National Malaria Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Support budgeting, financial planning and reporting for the Global Fund Malaria Grant Cycle 7.
• Ensure compliance with grant terms, monitor expenditures and assist in audit preparations.
• Coordinate with national malaria programmes and health partners to track implementation of the strategic plan.
• Provide financial data for monitoring, evaluation and evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Assist in preparing donor reports and maintaining accurate grant documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in budget and grant management, preferably in health or humanitarian programmes.
• Familiarity with Global Fund processes and malaria control initiatives is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and liaise with government and UN partners.
