About the role
The ICLA Team Leader will head the Information Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA) programme for the Aweil Area Office, ensuring effective planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, learning, documentation and reporting across the field office in NBEG State.
Key responsibilities
- Lead ICLA implementation, coordinating with project teams, government bodies, UN agencies, partners and beneficiaries.
- Develop work plans in consultation with the ICLA Coordinator and ensure alignment with strategy, proposals, budgets and donor requirements.
- Supervise and manage ICLA team members, monitor progress and produce periodic status reports.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, tools, handbooks, guidelines and donor requirements.
- Oversee procurement, development and distribution of materials and equipment according to procedures.
- Train and develop the ICLA team, promote technical improvements and ensure activities target the most vulnerable beneficiaries.
- Represent NRC in ICLA‑related forums and advocate for the programme within the Aweil area.
Required profile
- Experience leading ICLA or similar humanitarian legal assistance programmes.
- Proven ability to supervise project officers and assistants.
- Strong coordination skills with government institutions, UN agencies, implementing partners and civil society.
- Familiarity with NRC policies, donor compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ability to develop work plans, manage budgets and ensure timely procurement.
