General Manager – Hospitality

About the role

We are looking for an accomplished General Manager to lead a premier 5‑star luxury hotel in Juba, South Sudan. The role combines strategic direction with hands‑on operational oversight in a dynamic frontier market, requiring strong commercial acumen and the ability to inspire a multicultural team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the property.
• Oversee all major hotel functions including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Engineering, Security and Guest Services.
• Ensure operations consistently meet international 5‑star hospitality standards and monitor performance metrics.
• Take full accountability for the hotel’s P&L, budgeting, forecasting and drive revenue growth across rooms, F&B, events and other streams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–7 years experience as General Manager in a luxury 5‑star hotel.
• Proven full‑service hotel operation management with direct P&L responsibility.
• Experience in Sub‑Saharan Africa or other emerging markets (highly preferred).
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and revenue management.
• Ability to lead diverse multicultural teams and manage high‑level stakeholder relationships.
