Finance Assistant – 3 Positions

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking three Finance Assistants to support its resources management operations in Juba, South Sudan. Reporting to the Senior Finance Associate and under the overall supervision of the Resources Management Officer, the role involves day‑to‑day financial and administrative tasks that ensure accurate processing of payments and data integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and input financial data from various sources into accounting systems.
• Respond to accounting, budget, and financial queries from staff and partners.
• Review purchase‑to‑payment requests, verify authorisations and supporting documents.
• Validate vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with IOM finance policies.
• Perform claim verifications to confirm receipt of goods or services.
• Prepare receipts, memos and billing entries in the financial system.
• Assist in the preparation of budget, accounting, financial and statistical reports.
• Support review of implementing partners’ financial reports and vouchers for completeness and compliance.
• Provide administrative assistance for staff travel, expense claims and document retrieval.
• Maintain systematic filing of payments and accounting documents according to established standards.
• Undertake any other relevant duties as assigned.

• Open to internal and external candidates.
• Ability to work under the supervision of senior finance staff.
• Willingness to support finance and administrative functions in a UN‑related environment.
