Data Entry & Call Centre Intern

About the role

The Data Entry & Call Centre Intern supports data management, customer engagement, lead generation and client communication while gaining practical experience in customer service, data processing and remote operations. The intern maintains accurate records, makes and receives calls and supports outreach initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, update, verify and maintain records in company databases and systems, and review and clean data.
• Make outbound calls to customers, clients, leads or stakeholders and handle inbound calls professionally.
• Provide information on products, services, programmes or campaigns and follow up on inquiries, appointments, registrations and feedback.
• Maintain records of calls, interactions and outcomes, and generate daily and weekly activity reports.
• Meet call, outreach and data-entry targets, and escalate customer concerns to the relevant departments.
• Support surveys, research and lead-generation activities, and adhere to data protection and confidentiality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree currently pursued or recently completed in Business Administration, Communications, Customer Service, Information Technology, Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail and good customer service skills.
• Comfortable making and receiving a high volume of phone calls and able to work independently in a remote environment.
• Personal laptop in good working condition, reliable internet and access to a smartphone.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
