Customer Success and Community Intern

About the role

Sarafa builds simple, reliable digital payments infrastructure for South Sudan, developing wallet and merchant payment solutions. It is looking for a full-time, hybrid Customer Success and Community Intern based in Juba, with some flexibility to work remotely from home. The intern supports users of Sarafa's digital payment solutions, answers inquiries and resolves issues through several communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Help onboard new customers, collect feedback and track user satisfaction to improve products and services.
• Maintain community engagement through events or online forums.
• Prepare simple reports on customer trends.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
• Assist in creating clear user guides and updates so customers can use the solutions confidently.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and customer support skills, with a solid focus on customer satisfaction.
• Good analytical skills to understand customer needs and identify patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and represent customer interests.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment in Juba, with reliability and self-motivation for independent tasks.
• Prior experience or internships in customer-facing roles, community building or support functions are an advantage.
