Community Mobilizer – ECHO Cash Project

About the role

The Community Mobilizer will support the implementation of the ECHO Cash project in the Abyei Administrative Area. The role focuses on beneficiary enrolment, cash distribution, and monitoring of nutrition, protection and gender activities while strengthening community‑based child protection mechanisms.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the establishment and functioning of AAPs committees and beneficiary verification structures.
• Manage enrolment, registration and cash distribution for targeted households.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all cash‑related operations.
• Monitor nutrition, protection and gender programmes, including psychosocial activities.
• Support the creation and capacity‑building of community‑based child protection mechanisms and ensure referrals follow established pathways.
• Liaise with local authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and internal Save the Children teams.

Required profile

• Experience working in humanitarian or community‑development programmes, preferably in cash‑based interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable populations, including children and women.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with communities and partners.
• Commitment to Save the Children’s values and child safeguarding level 3.

Required skills

• Basic data‑entry and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to use standard office software for reporting.
