Electrical Engineer – Design, Solar, ELV & HVAC

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead the design, planning, implementation and supervision of electrical works for construction and infrastructure projects in Juba. The role covers power distribution, solar photovoltaic systems, extra‑low‑voltage (ELV) networks and HVAC electrical installations, ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs, calculations, layouts and technical drawings for construction projects.
• Develop single‑line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules, panel schedules and lighting layouts.
• Design low‑voltage power distribution systems in line with international standards.
• Design, size and specify on‑grid, off‑grid and hybrid solar PV systems, including battery storage and inverter selection.
• Produce solar system layouts, single‑line diagrams and bills of quantities; supervise installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
• Design and supervise ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, data/network, telephone, video intercom and intrusion alarm.
• Design electrical power supply and control systems for HVAC installations and perform load calculations.
• Supervise electrical installation and commissioning for HVAC, ELV and solar projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams on site.
• Prepare material lists, RFQs, technical reports, inspection reports and project progress updates.
• Develop BOQs, cost estimates and support tender preparation and supplier evaluation.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and quality assurance inspections for all electrical works.
