Education Project Manager – EFASS Programme

About the role

The Education Project Manager will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight and operational management for the Education for All South Sudan (EFASS) programme across Torit and Magwi counties. The role ensures high‑quality, results‑driven delivery of education activities in line with FCDO requirements, integrating cash‑based interventions to improve enrolment, attendance, retention and learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of the EFASS programme, developing annual work plans, budgets and implementation strategies.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, milestones and the results framework, applying adaptive management as needed.
• Ensure full donor compliance, including results‑based management, payment‑by‑results, gender and inclusion commitments, and safeguarding standards.
• Prepare high‑quality donor reports on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Oversee budget phasing, procurement and use of the SCI Prime project‑management system.
• Coordinate programme implementation with Education Technical Specialist, Foundational Learning & Access Specialist, Head of Program Implementation, MEAL team and MoGE&I officials at state and county levels.
• Supervise staff including Teacher Professional Development Specialist, Cash Transfer Coordinator, Education Officers and Gender Protection & MHPSS Officer.
• Integrate cash‑transfer activities to support education outcomes and conduct value‑for‑money analyses.

Required profile

• South Sudanese national.
• Level 3 child safeguarding clearance.

Required skills

• Experience using the SCI Prime system for project management and reporting.
