Education Project Manager – EFASS

About the role

The Education Project Manager will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight and operational management for the Education for All South Sudan (EFASS) programme. Based in Torit and Magwi counties, the role ensures high‑quality, results‑driven delivery of education activities in line with donor requirements, with a strong focus on value for money and adaptive programming.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of the EFASS programme across all implementation sites.
• Develop and oversee annual work plans, budgets and implementation strategies aligned to the programme logframe.
• Monitor delivery against KPIs, milestones and results framework, applying adaptive management as needed.
• Set up and manage the programme in the SCI Prime system, including scale‑up and phase‑out planning.
• Ensure full compliance with donor grant rules, results‑based management and payment‑by‑results mechanisms.
• Coordinate with education technical specialists, MEAL team, MoGE&I officials and field staff.
• Oversee procurement, budgeting, and reporting to the consortium unit.

Required profile

• South Sudanese national.
• Proven experience in managing education programmes and donor‑funded projects.
• Experience supervising staff such as teachers, cash transfer coordinators and gender protection officers.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding Level 3 requirements.
• Ability to work in remote field locations (Torit and Magwi counties).

Required skills

• Familiarity with the SCI Prime project management system.
