Education Coordinator

About the role

The Education Coordinator will support the Programme Manager in delivering high‑quality education services in Bor, Jonglei State. Working within Save the Children’s Education team, the role ensures effective implementation, coordination and supervision of programme activities, especially for vulnerable children and those with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate partnerships and lead the implementation of Save the Children‑self‑implemented education activities.
• Provide technical support and guidance to staff and partners on planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Supervise one Education Officer and oversee overall project delivery.
• Maintain relationships with the State Ministry of Education, County Education Departments, schools, teachers, school management committees and PTAs.
• Collaborate with Child Protection and MHPSS teams to ensure integrated programme delivery.
• Assume Programme Manager duties in their absence, including team management and technical oversight.

Required profile

• Experience in managing education programmes in humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to emergency situations.
• Strong understanding of child safeguarding (Level 3 contact with children).
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
