Supply & Logistics Officer – 6‑month TA in Yambio

About the role

The Supply & Logistics Officer will support UNICEF’s Ebola virus disease (EVD) preparedness and response in Yambio, South Sudan. Working under the Chief of Field Office and with technical support from the Supply and Logistics section in Juba, the officer ensures timely, accountable supply‑chain operations for emergency supplies.

Key responsibilities

• EVD supply planning, coordination and surge response support.
• Warehousing, inventory management and last‑mile distribution of emergency supplies.
• Collaboration with programmes, government and implementing partners.
• Monitoring, reporting, accountability and continuous improvement of supply‑chain processes.
• Support preparedness actions such as pre‑positioning, readiness checks, supplier and market mapping, and contingency planning.
• Travel to high‑risk counties, border areas, health facilities, warehouses and points of entry.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, management, economics, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, contract/commercial law, international development, health or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience in supply, logistics, procurement, warehousing, inventory management, fleet or transport coordination, contracting or administration.
