About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Fleet Management Assistant to support the logistics operations of its Country Office in Juba, South Sudan. Reporting to the Head of Logistics and working closely with the Fleet Manager, the assistant will help ensure the efficient and safe deployment of drivers and vehicles for both inter‑city and intra‑city missions.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate day‑to‑day dispatch activities for inter‑city and within‑city missions.
- Plan missions and assign drivers and vehicles, including weekend, holiday and night shifts.
- Collaborate with the Operational Support System (OSS) to obtain road status updates for inter‑city trips.
- Maintain records of drivers’ extra hours, driving licences and required authorisations.
- Conduct random checks of logbooks and ensure compliance with dispatch procedures.
Required profile
- Open to internal and external candidates.
- Ability to work under the supervision of the Head of Logistics and the Fleet Manager.
- Strong organisational skills for managing schedules and records.
