Senior Research Manager – Juba, South Sudan

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Research Manager to lead its research programme in South Sudan from its Juba office. The role will drive evidence‑based humanitarian decision‑making by overseeing data collection, management and analysis throughout the project cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement research methodologies that address humanitarian and development questions in South Sudan.
• Supervise field teams in data gathering, ensuring quality, timeliness and ethical standards.
• Manage the central data repository, oversee data cleaning, validation and analysis.
• Produce analytical reports, dashboards and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with partners, donors and local communities to align research activities with programme objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing research projects in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of the South Sudan context and local stakeholder dynamics.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
