Project Coordinator - Women Economic Empowerment

About the role
The Project Coordinator will lead the Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) strategy for our programmes in Juba and Tonj North, ensuring that activities are designed and implemented with a ‘do no harm’ approach. This role combines project management, monitoring, partnership building and capacity strengthening to drive measurable outcomes for vulnerable women and children.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute the WEE strategy and work plan based on assessment findings.
- Serve as the focal point for WEE implementation in Juba and Tonj North, coordinating with local partners and government bodies.
- Lead market and needs assessments, produce recommendations for the GREAW project, and ensure adaptive management of issues.
- Collect, analyse and report quantitative and qualitative data on WEE outcomes.
- Manage partnerships with the private sector, women‑led organisations, and governmental agencies.
- Draft quarterly, semi‑annual and annual reports for the project manager.
- Advocate with local leaders on resource allocation, policy formulation and collaboration.
- Design and implement monitoring plans, providing guidance to the monitoring team.
- Support partnership management, including regular meetings with local authorities and coordination with schools and CVA groups.
- Assess staff capacity and deliver targeted capacity‑building activities.
Required profile
- Proven experience in project coordination or management within development or humanitarian contexts.
- Strong understanding of gender‑focused economic empowerment and ‘do no harm’ principles.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including government, NGOs and the private sector.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with experience handling gender‑disaggregated data.
- Flexibility to work onsite in challenging environments.
