About the role
The Programme Analyst: GBV/IMS is responsible for strengthening the quality, accessibility and utility of gender‑based violence (GBV) data within the UNFPA Country Office in South Sudan. Acting as the technical focal point for the GBV Information Management System (IMS), the analyst ensures that data are collected, analysed and reported safely, ethically and in a timely manner to support life‑saving interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the technical and operational aspects of the GBV IMS, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Support partners and field teams on data‑collection protocols and reporting requirements.
- Analyse GBV programme results and produce monitoring reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all data activities comply with the highest ethical and safety standards for survivor information.
- Collaborate with the M&E Specialist to align data processes with UNFPA strategic objectives.
Required profile
- Experience in data management, monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Understanding of GBV programming and the sensitivities surrounding survivor data.
- Ability to work effectively in a challenging operating environment such as South Sudan.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency with the GBV Information Management System (IMS).
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Data security and ethical handling of sensitive information.
