Technical Consultant – Communities Care (Child Protection)

About the role
The Technical Consultant will provide training, coaching and technical support to WLO partners and community discussion leaders throughout the Communities Care cycle, ensuring safe referrals, supervision and effective action planning for child protection and gender‑based violence prevention.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver training and capacity‑building workshops for partners and community leaders.
- Facilitate safe referral mechanisms, supervision and action‑plan implementation.
- Support the preparation of public declarations and community‑level action plans.
- Collect, collate and analyse data, producing high‑quality reports for stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multi‑sectoral partners to ensure alignment with UNICEF standards.
Required profile
- Advanced degree in social science, psychology, social work, gender studies or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working on GBV in humanitarian settings.
- Proven experience in GBV service delivery and Communities Care programming.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and facilitate training and workshops.
- Fluency in English.
Required skills
- Data collection, collation and analysis.
- Strong report‑writing abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multi‑cultural environment.
