Supply Chain Officer (P) – Mobility VN

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Officer (P) to support its Mobility VN programme. Reporting to the Head of Resources Management and the Head of Supply Chain, the officer will work closely with the Regional Office for East, Horn and Southern Africa in Nairobi and coordinate with the Supply Chain Division at Headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic planning for supply chain activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct logistics capacity assessments and market research to monitor local market trends and commodity availability.
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain tasks including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, warehouse management, transport, fleet, assets, and facilities.
• Prepare regular progress reports, statistical information, and briefing notes.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on supply chain policies, rules, and regulations.
• Identify bottlenecks through value‑stream mapping and propose process optimisations.

Required profile

• Internal or internal‑equivalent candidate with experience in supply chain management.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess market data and logistics capacity.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with regional offices, headquarters, and external partners.
• Ability to produce clear reports and briefing documents.
