Supply Chain Assistant – Warehouse

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant supports day‑to‑day administrative, logistics and transport functions for the Kapoeta field office of Save the Children. Working in a humanitarian context, the role ensures that warehouse stock is managed according to SCI guidelines and that all related records are accurately maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Control incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring all paperwork complies with SCI procedures.
• Arrange receipt and dispatch of commodities, conduct regular stock reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Capture beneficiary‑distribution and program stock movements in the TIM system and endorse approvals.
• Manage casual workers during loading/unloading and ensure timely payment.
• Conduct procurement activities in line with SCI policies and donor rules, using approved suppliers and framework agreements.
• Monitor order schedules and delivery lead times, communicating any delays to affected parties.

Required profile

• Experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Professional conduct when interacting with suppliers, partners and internal staff.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours during emergencies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the TIM supply‑chain management system.
