Radiographer (Maban, South Sudan)

About the role

The Radiographer will provide essential imaging services to refugee populations in Maban County, supporting the medical team’s effort to reduce morbidity and mortality. This role involves operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with radiologists and other health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment such as X‑ray, MRI and CT scanners.
• Prepare and position patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
• Maintain, calibrate and perform routine quality‑control checks on all imaging devices.
• Administer contrast agents when required and manage related documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and produce accurate reports.
• Follow radiation‑safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
• Process and safeguard patient records, ensuring confidentiality.
• Identify cases needing referral, prepare referral documents, and follow up on treatment outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience operating X‑ray, MRI and CT imaging equipment.
• Ability to follow strict radiation‑safety procedures.
• Strong attention to patient comfort, safety and confidentiality.
• Capacity to work in a humanitarian, conflict‑affected setting.
