About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Consultant to serve as Programme Officer (Livelihoods) for a regional programme that supports Chad, Ethiopia and South Sudan in responding to the Sudan crisis. The role focuses on implementing livelihood activities, durable solutions, social cohesion and early recovery for women and youth in Upper Nile and Unity states.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning, implementation and monitoring of livelihood interventions across project sites.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with IOM, government, NGOs and community stakeholders.
- Collect, analyse and report data on project outcomes, ensuring compliance with IOM standards.
- Coordinate with the Programme Coordinator (Livelihood) and other thematic leads to align activities with overall programme objectives.
- Facilitate community engagement, capacity‑building sessions and feedback mechanisms.
Required profile
- University degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Proven experience in humanitarian or development programmes, preferably in livelihoods or early recovery.
- Familiarity with the South Sudan context and the dynamics of displacement.
- Strong analytical and reporting abilities, with fluency in English.
