Programme Associate – Livelihoods

About the role

The Programme Associate – Livelihoods will support the implementation of IOM’s project aimed at catalyzing durable solutions, livelihoods and social cohesion in Yei River and Rubkona County. Reporting to the Programmes Coordinator and working closely with the National Project Officer – Livelihoods, the role focuses on delivering project activities for displaced, returnee and host communities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, monitoring and reporting of livelihood activities under the project.
• Maintain relationships with IOM and local stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Support data collection, analysis and documentation using appropriate tools.
• Contribute to coordination with other IOM programmes and humanitarian clusters.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in social or community stabilization projects, preferably with a gender focus.
• Strong knowledge of the local context in Yei.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using data collection tools and applications.
