Program Manager – ECHO Projects

About the role

Relief International is seeking a Program Manager to lead its ECHO‑funded health, nutrition, protection and WASH initiatives in Nasir and Longechuk Counties, Upper Nile State, South Sudan. Reporting to the Deputy Country Director, Programs, you will provide day‑to‑day technical and managerial oversight to ensure high‑quality, timely delivery of project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall management, leadership and implementation oversight for ECHO‑funded projects in the assigned counties.
• Ensure all activities comply with approved proposals, budgets, Detailed Implementation Plans, procurement plans and donor regulations.
• Lead project planning, monitoring, adaptation and reporting processes to achieve objectives and impact for crisis‑affected populations.
• Monitor expenditures against budgets, identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits to assess progress, resolve bottlenecks and support decision‑making.
• Represent the programme in internal and external coordination meetings, and produce high‑quality written reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing health, nutrition, protection or WASH programmes in humanitarian settings.
• Proven experience with donor‑funded projects, preferably ECHO or similar.
• Strong analytical, reporting and community‑engagement skills.
• Ability to travel frequently to field locations and work under security‑sensitive conditions.
