Program Development Officer – Juba

About the role
The Program Development Officer will lead the creation of grant proposals and donor reports for Samaritan's Purse in South Sudan. This position supports the full project cycle, from design through monitoring and close‑out, while integrating faith‑based values into the work.
Key responsibilities
- Gather accurate information and research to produce regular situation reports for leadership.
- Collaborate with grants, technical, and field teams to compile program achievements for donor and board reports.
- Drive the proposal development process, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and strategic priorities.
- Assist in drafting proposal budgets in partnership with finance and program staff.
- Provide success stories and program updates to the Communications department for external platforms.
- Review grant agreements for compliance and create summary sheets of rules and regulations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree and 3‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably with INGOs in Africa.
- Strong knowledge of donor requirements (e.g., USAID, OFDA, UNHCR, WFP, FAO, DFID).
- Excellent writing and presentation abilities.
- Ability to work in multicultural environments and travel to rural field locations.
