Procurement Internship – South Sudan Country Office

About the role

DanChurchAid (DCA) is an international non‑governmental organisation headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, founded in 1922 and operating in 19 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Ukraine and Asia. In South Sudan, DCA works with local partners to assist the poorest of the poor, focusing on protection, hunger relief, peace, conflict mitigation and the safe removal of explosive remnants of war. The Procurement Intern will support the Procurement Department with day‑to‑day purchasing activities, gaining practical exposure to procurement processes, supplier management, inventory coordination and compliance with organisational procurement policies. The internship provides hands‑on experience while contributing to the efficient acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions and requests for quotations (RFQs).
• Support day‑to‑day purchasing activities.
• Help maintain inventory records and track deliveries.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with DCA’s internal policies and donor requirements.
• Contribute to the efficient acquisition of goods and services.
