Nutrition & Area Coordinator – Maban & Melut

About the role

The Nutrition & Area Coordinator will lead the implementation and quality assurance of UNICEF and WFP‑funded nutrition programmes in the Maban and Melut areas. Reporting to Relief International senior management, the role also serves as the focal point for all RI operations in the county, providing strategic leadership and security oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, monitor and report on all WFP‑ and UNICEF‑supported nutrition projects, including CMAM and MIYCN interventions.
• Ensure activities comply with approved proposals, donor guidelines and organisational standards.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations to deliver high‑quality services and achieve project targets.
• Manage project budgets, conduct monthly Budget Versus Actual reviews, track expenditures and address variances.
• Prepare donor reports, forecasts and risk assessments in collaboration with finance teams.
• Provide strategic leadership, representation and security oversight for Relief International in the county.
• Coordinate with other departments and support overall RI operations in the area.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing UNICEF and WFP‑funded nutrition projects.
• Strong understanding of CMAM and MIYCN programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with donor requirements and organisational standards.
• Experience in budget management and financial reporting.
• Capacity to provide strategic leadership and coordinate multi‑sectoral teams.
