Lead Software Engineer – WordPress & Cloud Platforms

About the role

FUBER LLC is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to own end‑to‑end delivery of high‑performance, secure web platforms and content management systems for international and public‑sector clients. This remote position will involve architecture, development, deployment, security, and client hand‑over for document‑heavy knowledge platforms built on WordPress and modern engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the technical architecture of WordPress/CMS‑based websites and web applications.
• Configure custom themes, plugins, and role‑based access controls.
• Set up secure, scalable hosting on Azure or AWS, including Docker containerisation, SSL, backups, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply SEO best practices, performance optimisation, and WCAG accessibility standards.
• Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders, producing clear documentation and reports.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in website design and development.
• Strong written and spoken English with excellent report‑drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment.
